Naturally conceive purpose
After your initial consultation, we will recommend either a 3‑cycle or 6‑cycle treatment plan based on your needs. Each cycle typically includes four acupuncture sessions designed to support follicle development, strengthen dominant follicles, and improve reproductive blood flow to enhance the chances of conception and implantation.
Three‑Cycle Treatment Plan Recommended For…
- 35 years old or younger, try natural pregnancy for less than 12 months.
- Hormone level normal, no congenital and structural abnormalities.
- Normal sperm test for partner/husband.
Six‑Cycle Treatment Plan Recommended For…
- 35 years old or older, try natural pregnancy for over 12 months.
- Unsuccessful cases of IVF, IUI.
- Recurrent miscarriage.
- High FSH or other hormone abnormality.
3. IVF or IUI support
Generally, this group has already attempted natural conception for some time before pursuing an IVF or IUI plan, and some may also have underlying medical concerns. For clients who are planning or undergoing IVF or IUI, we provide three types of specialized support services.
- Preparation before IVF/IUI (3 months)
The three‑month plan begins at least three months before IVF or IUI to optimize health and outcomes. Weekly acupuncture, with optional herbal support, improves follicle quality, enhances uterine and ovarian blood flow, and alleviates menstrual symptoms. As follicles require 90–120 days to mature, this preparation is strongly recommended and may also allow for natural conception.
This plan is suitable for clients with specific conditions.
- Age of 35 years old or older
- High FSH level
- IVF unsuccessful cases
- Less than 3 months preparation before IVF/IUI
Acupuncture in this plan focuses on preparing the body for optimal fertility outcomes within a short timeframe, rather than addressing deeper underlying factors. It is best suited for clients aged 35 or younger who are in good health with no significant medical concerns.
The goals of treatment are to:
- Enhance blood flow to the uterus and ovaries to improve responsiveness to stimulation
- Support uterine lining development to promote implantation
- Reduce uterine cramping to support implantation and lower miscarriage risk
- Lower cortisol and relieve stress to improve the effectiveness of Western fertility treatments
- Pre and post transfer treatment
Acupuncture administered before and after embryo transfer has been shown in a recent British Medical Journal meta‑analysis to significantly improve IVF outcomes, including higher success, ongoing pregnancy, and live‑birth rates.
In this protocol, clients receive acupuncture immediately before and after their embryo transfer or IUI. Our clinic accommodates transfer schedules seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, for established clients, and we make every effort to fit in urgent transfer appointments.
The purpose of this treatment is to reduce stress, enhance uterine blood flow, minimize uterine cramping, support implantation, and lower the risk of miscarriage.
4. First trimester care
When your pregnancy test is positive, congratulations are in order. Continuing acupuncture depends on your individual circumstances, but we strongly recommend treatment if any of the following apply:
- A history of miscarriage or recurrent miscarriage
- High stress levels and previous benefit from acupuncture
- Pregnancy‑related symptoms such as nausea, morning sickness, or fatigue
5. Warming up before delivery
We offer acupuncture treatments in the weeks leading up to delivery, ideally 1–2 weeks before the expected due date. The goals of this treatment are to:
· Encourage the baby to engage in preparation for labor
· Support cervical ripening while relaxing muscles, tendons, and the mind
· Promote healthy uterine activity as the due date approaches
· Reduce discomfort and stress during the final stage of pregnancy
6. Sperm improvement support (for male)
During the initial visit, our practitioners review your health history, conduct a physical exam, and assess semen analysis results. Based on this evaluation, each client receives an individualized treatment plan, which may include weekly acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and targeted supplements.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has supported male fertility for centuries, with acupuncture and herbal therapy shown to improve sperm motility, count, and morphology, address infections, and support erectile function. Our team is experienced in reproductive care and can provide guidance or referrals as needed.
We recommend a minimum three‑month combined treatment program, as this reflects the full cycle of sperm regeneration.
